Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay born August 24 72 years old at Long Beach in California. DuVernay was encouraged to pursue her love of art by DuVernay's aunt Denise at the age of a small kid. DuVernay's summers spent in Alabama's Selma would inspire her later to make an animated film on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay graduated from Saint Joseph High School at Lakewood in California in the year 1990. She attended University of California Los Angeles for a degree in English in addition to African American Studies. DuVernay began producing television news as a student. She began her career as an intern at CBS News, during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay was tasked to watch and search the home of an individual member of the Jury. She was disappointed by her journalistic duties and decided to switch over to the field of public relations. DuVernay began her career as a junior publicity assistant at a small film studio shortly after she graduated from college. The DuVernay Agency is her first PR agency. In addition to PR her agency also created a variety of marketing and lifestyle platforms, such as the Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective, Urban Eye and HelloBeautiful.
